The Confucius Institute has been an integral part of DMU’s monthly Open Days and 2 annual Welcome Weekends on campus to promote the university to the freshers and the public. The CI runs stands beautifully decorated with everything Chinese to catch attention from the new students with their families and friends. The CI also offers performances and displays of authentic traditional Chinese arts, crafts and even sports, such as Lion Dance, Tai Chi Fan Dance, zither performance, calligraphy, lanterns, cuisine (e.g., jianzi ) or weighted shuttlecocks.
