Mr. LI Yiren Leads Delegation from HBIS Group to USTB

On the morning of May 27th, Mr. LI Yiren, Deputy General Manager of the HBIS Group, led a delegation to USTB. They were met by Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, Prof. WU Aixiang, Vice President of USTB, and the heads of relevant university departments. The two sides met to discuss further promoting the construction of the “Collaborative Innovation Center of Green Steel Manufacturing” (CIC).
On behalf of USTB, Mr. WU extended a warm welcome to Mr. LI and his delegation, and expressed his appreciation for the HBIS Group's on-going support for USTB and his hope for further cooperation between the two sides. He continued saying that the two sides should work to train and employ high-end talents so as to solve research and industrial bottlenecks in related fields. Furthermore, they should seek to further pool their mutual resources to make the CIC a cutting-edge platform to promote industry-university cooperation and embrace personnel training opportunities. Finally, he spoke of President XI Jinping’s reply to Pakistani students studying at USTB, saying it had encouraged the university to build a strong CIC and tell China's story to the world.
Mr. LI expressed his heartfelt thanks to USTB for its support of the HBIS Group and the CIC. He said that HBIS Group would further strengthen strategic cooperation with USTB so that the two sides together could solve key issues in the development of the steel industry, and contribute to the development of both China's economy and global civilization. Despite the setbacks resulting from the pandemic, the HBIS group would overcome all difficulties and take on a considerable number of new USTB graduates.
