The program of “High-end aluminum alloy recycling technology for global infrastructure” was conductedby Dr. WANG Jianwen from the Institute for Advanced Materials and Technology. The program focused on the huge demand for the provision of high-end aluminum alloys. It achieves scrap aluminum recycling for production of aviation and high-speed rail, with production quality meeting standards in both China and the United States. The project has also signed a cooperation agreement with Boeing company, and obtained the company’s “cooperation and application” certification.
The project of “One-tree poverty alleviation” was founded by YANG Guoqing, Counselor of Shunde Graduate School. Relying on the social practice in summer vacation, the project mobilized more than 500 college students to carry out research and volunteer work in poverty-stricken areas for six consecutive years, finding solutions to more than 80 employment-related problems of rural households, and helping over 1,000 impoverished households altogether. In addition, the project promoted new poverty alleviation methods for college students.
