Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, Visits USTB

Recently Mr. Zulkieflimansyah Ungang Rante, governor of West Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia, led a 9-person delegation to visit USTB. They were met by a welcoming committee led by Professor YANG Renshu, President of USTB, and Professor WU Aixiang, Vice President of USTB.
Prof. YANG began the meeting by welcoming the visiting delegation and introducing them to the current situation at USTB, including the status of its overall development, advances in scientific research, and international cooperative efforts. Next, governor Zulkieflimansyah gave a presentation on West Nusa Tenggara, and expressed his desire to both send more Indonesian students to study abroad in China as well as explore collaborative opportunities with USTB.
Subsequently, President Husni of the University of Mataram, Indonesia, and President Mutawali Abdul Haqqi of the State Institute for Islamic Studies of Mataram, Indonesia, delivered presentations regarding their respective institutions. Associate Professor ZHAO Baoyong, Director of the International Student Center, spoke of the history and status of Indonesian students coming to study at USTB. After the conclusion of the presentations the two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation including the further exchange of students and teachers, as well as joint research ventures.
Also present to meet with the governor were Professor LIU Jiemin, Dean of the Graduate School, Professor SONG Bo, Director of the Department of the Registrar, Professor JIN Longzhe, Dean of the School of Civil and Resources Engineering, Professor ZHANG Jianliang, Secretary General of the Party Committee of the School of Metallurgical and Ecological Engineering, Professor YAN Xiangbin, Dean of the Donlinks School of Economics and Management, and Professor BAN Xiaojuan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs.
