Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation Holds First Academic Annual Meeting

On December 24th, the Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation held the 2020 Academic Annual Meeting in the Jianlong Conference Hall. Mr. WU Guilong, Chancellor of USTB, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. More than 60 people attended the meeting, including relevant leaders of departments and schools of USTB and teachers of the Institute.
In the discussion about the development planning of the Institute, all the participants agreed that the Institute should think more creatively and develop with innovation under the guidance of the spirit of President XI Jinping's reply letter and under the leadership of the CPC Party School of USTB. The Institute should explore a path to promote talent development and interdisciplinary integration and better implement the “Double First-rate” strategic plan.
The Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation is a “Talent Special Zone” created by USTB in 2016 to build an innovation platform for top talents and to provide support and guarantee service systems for them. The Institute for Multidisciplinary Innovation is an important innovation platform for USTB to promote the construction of emerging disciplines, talent development and interdisciplinary integration.
