Mr. LU and Mr. ZHOU are the class of 1980 USTB alumni.
Before the meeting, the USTB delegation, accompanied by Mr. LU and Mr. ZHOU, visited the Exhibition Hall of China ENFI and the China Mining Innovation Center.
At the start of the meeting, Mr. LU, on behalf of China ENFI, warmly welcomed the USTB delegation and expressed his appreciation for our university’s support. He then gave a brief introduction to the corporation’s development history, personnel training strategy, R&D platform construction and organizational structure. Mr. LU spoke of the strong partnership between China ENFI and USTB, jointly carrying out scientific research and technological development, together achieving fruitful high-level research outcomes. He hoped the new agreement would be a great opportunity for the two parties to expand cooperation into different fields and new projects.
Prof. YANG expressed his gratitude on behalf of the USTB to China ENFI for their longstanding support of our university, which he followed by giving a brief review of the university’s development and inter-industry cooperation efforts over the past few years. In April of 2019, leaders from both USTB and China ENFI reached an initial consensus to establish a strategic partnership, and with the signing of this new agreement the two parties would start a journey of greater cooperation. Prof. YANG expressed his hope that the two sides would strengthen cooperation on scientific R&D, personnel training, technology exchange, and research results implementation. Together USTB and China ENFI seek to explore a new model of university-enterprise collaboration and make a greater contribution to the development of the nation and the advancement of the metallurgy industry.
Following those remarks Mr. LIU and Prof. HE signed the strategic cooperation agreement, in which USTB and China ENFI reached a consensus to strengthen collaboration on scientific research and technology development, personnel training, and academic exchange in fields including deep intelligent mining and ecological mining, green metallurgy and smart factories, comprehensive utilization of mines and resources, urban solid waste disposal and energy saving measures, as well as environmental protection and new materials, etc.
