Delegation of UC Riverside Visited USTB for Communication and Exchange

On April 7th, Mr. Jun Wang, the Assistant Provost of the University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside), visited USTB. Prof. LYU Zhaoping, Vice President of USTB, met with the delegation, and heads of the USTB Office of International Affairs, USTB School of Mechanical Engineering, and USTB School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering participated in the symposium.

Prof. LYU Zhaoping extended a warm welcome to Mr. Wang Jun and his delegation on behalf of the school. He said that since the establishment of the partnership in 2010, the two schools have carried out cooperation in various aspects, such as teacher-student exchanges and talent cultivation, and have achieved good results. In the future, the two sides will continue to deepen the cooperation between the two universities, focusing on the cultivation of undergraduate and post-graduate students.
Mr. Wang Jun thanked USTB for its long-term support. He said that USTB is an important partner of UC Riverside, and has carried out a lot of cooperation in 3+1+X, master and Ph.D. joint cultivation, faculty exchange, and so on. In the past decade, alumni of the UC Riverside program have held important positions at USTB and well-known universities in the United States. In recent years, it has opened up 3+1+X projects in multidisciplinary fields, ensuring the balanced development of various disciplines. He hoped that the two sides could cooperate and exchange further with each other in the future.
Subsequently, Prof. ZHANG Dawei, Director of the Office of International Affairs; Mr. LI Baoming, Associate Director of the Office of International Affairs; Prof. Li Zhengping, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering; Prof. ZHENG Lifang, Associate Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. WEI Xun, professor at the Research Center of Biology and Agriculture conducted discussions and exchanges on the education of students from different disciplines and scientific cooperation.
