On the afternoon of May 9th, Mr. Simon Bradbury, Pro Vice-Chancellor International of De Montfort University (DMU), and Prof. GU Wei, the new Director of the Confucius Institute(CI), held introduction meeting in the library of CI. They engaged in friendly exchanges regarding the future development of the USTB-DMU Confucius Institute.

During the meeting, Prof. GU first expressed her gratitude to the relevant departments of the De Montfort University for their long-term support, and then introduced the latest progress of Mandarin teaching and cultural activities. Mr. Simon Bradbury highly appreciated the contributions made by the CI teachers and their efforts in serving the students and local community. Later, they discussed the future development of the Confucius Institute, especially the Joint Degree Show and the visit of the delegation from USTB in June.
Finally, Prof. GU presented Mr. Bradbury with an exquisite gift on behalf of the Confucius Institute and took a group photo with him. This meeting enhanced the friendship between the two universities, and laid a solid foundation for the future development of the Confucius Institute.
