President YANG Renshu Leads Delegation to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA)

Recently Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB, and Prof. XUE Qingguo, Vice Chancellor and Vice President of USTB, led a delegation on a visit to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
The assembled leaders from both USTB and CISA discussed how to deepen cooperation between industries, universities and research groups, as well as promote technological innovation and personnel training. At the meeting, Mr. HE Wenbo, Party Secretary and Secretary General of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), welcomed the visiting USTB delegation, after which he gave a presentation on CISA and its future plans, as well as prospective developments in the steel industry. He then expressed his hope of carrying out greater cooperation with USTB in the areas of technological innovation and personnel training, in order to ensure mutual benefits both both institutions and the nation as a whole.
Following that Prof. YANG expressed his sincere thanks to CISA for its long-term support. USTB has worked closely with CISA, and has established a deep friendship in the long-term cooperation. The development of all undertakings of the school cannot be separated from the guidance and support of CISA.. Prof. YANG conveyed his desire to strengthen cooperation and communication between USTB and CISA and commit to the development of innovative technology and the training of outstanding personnel for the future development of the steel industry.
Prof. XUE then discussed how to deepen the cooperation between USTB and CISA in three aspects: promote greater integration between industry and academia, the construction of new engineering disciplines and work with the China Outstanding Metallurgical Engineers Training Alliance. In order to promote further cooperation, USTB and CISA will seek a method to increase communication and coordination between the leaders of each side.
