CNPRI and USTB Signed a Joint R&D Cooperation Agreement on Key Technologies of Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor

Mr. WANG An, Party Secretary and General Manager of China Nuclear Power Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CNPRI), Mr. LIN Jiming, Chief Scientist of CNPRI, Chief Director of Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor Strategic Special Project and Director of Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor R&D Project Department, visited our university and signed the "Joint R&D Cooperation Agreement on Key Technologies of Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor" with our university. Prof. YANG Renshu, President of USTB, Academician XIE Jianxin, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. LV Zhaoping, Prof. ZHANG Weidong, and Prof. WANG Luning, Vice Presidents of USTB and other guests attended the meeting. The signing and exchange meeting was hosted by Prof. ZHANG Weidong.
Prof. YANG Renshu said in his speech that the signing of the joint R&D cooperation agreement between the university and CNPRI is an important measure to fully implement the "Four Orientations" proposed by President XI Jinping on scientific research, promote the optimal allocation and resource sharing of scientific research forces in universities and enterprises, and promote the deep integration of industry, education and research.
Mr. WANG An said that the signing of the cooperation agreement could be a a new starting point for the two parties to rely on the respective resource advantages, actively build a platform, deepen the cooperation field, improve the cooperation mechanism of industry, university and research, carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation, promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
Mr. LIN Jiming of CNPRI and Vice President Prof. WANG Luning of USTB signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Afterwards, Mr. WANG An and his delegation visited the State Key Laboratory for Advanced Metals and Materials for exchange.
Mr. ZHANG Zhenhua, Mr. ZHANG Feifei and Mr. WANG Dong from CNPRI, as well as the representatives of teachers from Institute of Science and Technology, Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Materials Genome Engineering, State Key Laboratory for Advanced Metals and Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Institute for Advanced Materials and Technology and other relevant units attended the meeting.
